Unfortunately, after a few days, someone anonymously flagged the mural as offensive. The online report went directly to one of the city`s contractors, who painted on the mural. As mentioned briefly, Norwich is not only home to street art, but also street sculpture. Charities Break and Wild in Art teamed up a few years ago to bring GoGoDiscover onto the city`s streets. This project presents individually designed thematic sculptures exhibited throughout the city. Norwich has the most intact medieval streets in Britain. While there are a few modern buildings like the Forum, it`s not a trendy place like Shoreditch where you`d expect street art. Back when I lived in Norwich, the urban art scene developed.
Dragons in England have been used since the famous legend of St. George. There was also a connection between dragons and the town of Norwich dating back to the Middle Ages. One of my favorite buildings is Dragon Hall on King Street, so it`s fitting that one of my favorite murals is a dragon. Frankie & Benny`s Riverside is home to Norwich`s largest mural, unveiled in 2019.
