Students acquire the knowledge and skills to serve clients through the law under the supervision of a lawyer. The ICC program has a high placement rate for graduates with alumni working across the United States, for individual lawyers, and in the legal departments of Caterpillar, State Farm, Walmart, and other large corporations. Lawyers may participate in the work of the Court as defence counsel, public defender, ad hoc counsel, legal counsel, legal representative of victims, amicus curiae or legal counsel acting on behalf of a State. Lawyers wishing to practise before the Court in one of these capacities must meet the criteria for inclusion on the roster of lawyers established and maintained by the Registrar in accordance with Rule 21(2) of the ICC Rules of Procedure and Evidence (RPE). In order to be admitted as defence counsel, candidates must meet the minimum quality assurance requirements set out in article 22 of the RPE and article 67 of the Rules of Court. from the University of Essex, where she also worked as a transitional justice researcher, conducted open-source investigations into allegations of crimes against humanity, and contributed to amici curiae to refer situations to the ICC. In addition to her legal experience, she also brings diplomatic and political experience, having held positions in the French Parliament and the EU Delegation to the United Nations in Geneva. The IBA monitors legal, institutional and policy developments at the ICC that affect the legal profession, including: reviewing the court`s legal aid scheme; amendments to the Court`s rules on mutual legal assistance; interpretation of the ICC Code of Conduct for Legal Advisers; Disciplinary proceedings, etc. against lawyers appearing before the courts. Diana Constantinide is a British lawyer and a Cypriot lawyer with over 7 years of legal experience. She practices international criminal law and human rights before international and national courts. At the ICC, she is assistant to the legal representative of victims in the Abd-Al-Rahman case. For the past two years, she has worked on the situation in Afghanistan in the area of victim advocacy. She also worked on the situation in Myanmar before the ICC approved a thorough investigation into Myanmar`s alleged crimes against the Rohingya and advised NGOs on complex international issues such as genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and sexual violence.

She also teaches international criminal law and human rights. Diana attended the ICC`s virtual training and met with various departments of the court, including the legal department, to understand the working conditions of those assisting lawyers. Through these steps, and as an associate member of ICCBA, Diana understands the importance of promoting diverse and equal gender representation in the profession. A handbook for legal representatives to provide guidance on key issues related to victims` participation in the proceedings and thus assist legal representatives in their day-to-day work by representing victims` views and concerns in the proceedings.
