The Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Criminal Harassment Legal Aid Service continues to receive calls during the COVID-19 crisis. The legal aid service is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to help victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking with legal problems. New Mexico Legal Aid is a civil rights advocacy group dedicated to opening the door to equal access to justice for all disenfranchised and low-income individuals and communities across New Mexico by providing quality awareness, training, education, and advocacy services. The mission of New Mexico Legal Aid, Inc. (NMLA) is to be the voice, advocate, and advocate for the poor seeking justice in all forums, especially in the communities where they live. NMLA is committed to helping the poor in their struggle for food, shelter and security, and to preserving their unique cultural heritage. Legal aid programs help people living in households with an annual income of 125% or less of the federal poverty guidelines. Clients represent all ethnicities and age groups and live in rural, suburban and urban areas. These include the working poor, ex-combatants, families with children, farmers and migrant workers, persons with disabilities, landlords, tenants and the elderly. This new program provides advocacy and legal aid to victims of crime across New Brunswick.

The office of the clerk of the district court may have legal forms and packages available to those who wish to represent themselves.
