The processing of claims for property damage/loss due to shipment of household items, hurricanes, vandalism, etc. is handled by the Air Force Claims Service Center in Kettering, Ohio, with 24-hour service. Employees process their applications online on the website provided. The Basic Claims Office accepts DD 1840R forms (pink form) during business hours in Room 234 within 70 days of delivery. The Basic Legal Office is available to claimants every day when they scan claim documents in the claims center.

Once the form is completed, the website will provide a ticket number. Have your ticket number handy when you call to make an appointment. The Office of the Staff Judge Advocate provides legal assistance to 1 Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field and partner commands in various areas of law, including military justice, adverse administrative measures, environmental law, labour, contract, civil and facilities law. Before you go to the office to obtain a power of attorney, please visit the Air Force Legal Assistance website at the address. From the Start screen, select Legal spreadsheets. You then select “Create a Power of Attorney”. The program will ask you to enter information, fill in all the information requested by the website. Once the form is completed, the website will provide a ticket number. Bring your ticket number(s) with you to obtain the power of attorney.

This process allows Air Force personnel to file claims online and submit required documents electronically to the AFCSC.
